Founded in 1996
This year, ozon celebrates ten years of success (it firstly appeared on May 1996). Ozon, the first international free magazine in Athens, has exceeded its goals and has established its presence as the leading free press publication. Throughout these years OZON has collaborated with Greek and internationally acclaimed artists, designers and writers that have depicted Athenian and European life and trends in the least compromising way. For ten years, the magazine has been eager to discover creativity at its birth and has provided the platform for young talent to emerge. Being in full synchronization with what’s happening in Europe and the world, OZON has established a long and strong relationship with its audience, providing them with accurate information about what is truly new and different in Greece and abroad. From a business point of view, our publication has managed to sustain a very strong and stable relationship with our clients. Our client list has developed throughout the years dynamically, and today we feature established companies that mirror the demographic of our audience from the country’s leading advertising companies. Our circulation has tripled in 10 years, both in quantity and area distribution, providing a broader audience for our advertising clients. As a brand, OZON is the only publication in Greece that has sustained a steady name value on the specific demographic. In ten years we have managed not only to maintain our revenue, but also expand and capitalize towards new markets by following the development of social trends of our demographic.
Our goal is to continue following alternative trends, inspire our audience and support established and young talent.
OZON MAGAZINE FEATURES ARTICLES, PHOTOGRAPHY AND ILLUSTRATION ON CONTEMPORARY ART, FASHION, MUSIC ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, CLUBBING, FILM & THEATRE.
For each issue a song title becomes the spine and inspiration theme, defining the cover appearance & illustrations, and giving an overall mood to the featured articles. The selection of songs is carefully made so they are either recognizable by the audience as classics, or intriguing as new. Our goal is to push the limits of the pop culture behind songs lyrics and use them as a themed form of expression for any related or opposite subject.
OZON Magazine is an alternative, monthly free publicateed, bilingual (Greek-English) magazine, based in Athens, with a high circulation in Athens and other major cities in Greece such as Chania, Ioannina, Karpenisi, Larisa, Nafplio, Patra & Thesaloniki. It’s distributed (3o.ooo issues, at 300 distribution points) to the leading contemporary galleries, museums, music stores, cafes and boutiques in the country, and is considered the freshest and most trend setting Greek magazine, covering art, fashion & music from all around the world, in a unique way.
Ozon magazine supports contemporary lifestyle, by showcasing innovative and cutting edge people and their work, sponsoring contemporary fashion and art events and supporting important music concerts and club nights that present a forward style and philosophy. For years now we have a strong bond and collaboration with British Dazed and Confused magazine, and Spanish BGuided and NEO2, a mutual attempt to approach and bridge the different ideas transported through young people in Europe and the world.
