photography, publishing house, artistic and design consulting agency, deluxe, signed, artist book, portfolio, poster, shadows, obscurity, shades of black, dark light, discretion, uncommon beauty, engaged art, different fashion, artist collaboration.
SOME/THINGS has three branches:
Twice yearly book-like magazine, publishing house producing limited edition objects & art/design consulting agency. Our aim is to create not just another merchandise, but something that would go beyond it - something with a story, something personal, something unique - both for the editions & magazine artists. Participate in conceiving not only the idea but also the formal elaboration of the objects/articles & in the case of the agency the solutions we try to find for fashion brands, galleries, publishers etc. always marry art, fashion & design in a way that the three parts would complement each other making the final product more attractive, complex, relevant, timeless. Our signature mark is precisely this tight relationship beween the content & aesthetics, exquisite & austere at the same time, beautiful yet thought provoking.

SOME/THINGS COMPANY
was founded in 2008 to enable us to create something different from what is usually seen in both 'mainstream' & 'alternative' market, something more involved & engaging than the basic product - complex & sophisticated - something with a story.

Under the name of SOME/THINGS LIMITED EDITIONS
we collaborate with artists to create limited edition objects, austere yet exquisite, both in its content (always a particular project that involves never published material) & form (special technique of printing, binding, embossing & careful material selection). Editions are small ( 50 to 200) of which every piece has handmade finishing & is numbered & signed by the author.

Within SOME/THINGS AGENCY
our work mostly involves art directing, styling, photography & design. We help to find adequate yet unconventional visual & conceptual solutions for printed matter, fashion shows/presentations, spacial installations in the boutique & galleries. We assist the designers & artists in achieving the desired impact with their work. We do not direct or impose our own vision on the clients but try to edit & develop that particular project to make it impressive yet coherent & lasting proposition.

SOME/THINGS MAGAZINE
is a bi-annual curated project in the form of a book. Absence of any advertising, no news section & no reviews is a conscious decision. We shun fast approach & we want to take time to discover & re-discover works that transcend the boundaries of their medium & of their time. What interests us is not art or fashion as such but works that engage with reality. Starting to prepare each article means not trying to find the way to prove our own ideas - we are not interested to illustrate, justify or explain - but to communicate the world of our contributors. The content is based on active collaboration with some of the most visionary creative minds of today - the selection is always personal - we tend to choose people whose work we have been following for years, people we appreciate not only as artists but also as human beings. Respect & mutual understanding has to be a basis of all we do: original language of texts & interviews & names is always preserved next to english translation & we never publish any material without the accord of our collaborators. We want to create a publication that would be more than a disposable piece of paper documenting the hype or superficial luxury. Each issue of SOME/THINGS Magazine is not ' a new season' but our personal vision at this moment in time.
